Location when needed
The rider app does not send continuous background location once the service no longer needs it.

Verification is tied to your phone number; codes are short-lived and single-use.
Real number shown during the trip
After acceptance, rider and captain each see the other's real phone number to coordinate pickup. HOP makes it available while the trip is active; misuse can be reported in-app.
Delete your account
Deletion is available in-app with a 30-day window to restore before data is permanently removed.
